Olympic Club Lyon announced on Wednesday that it had signed Algerian international Islam Slimani, Leicester City striker, in a free deal. Meanwhile, the French league leaders announced the transfer of striker Moussa Dembele to Spanish league leaders Atlético Madrid on loan.

Soleimani, who scored 13 goals in 47 matches in all competitions for Leicester, joined Lyon on an 18-month contract and his contract with the English club expired at the end of the season.
The Algerian player said: “I am very happy and proud to join a big club like Lyon, the league leaders, who play well and score a lot of goals and I want to help the club to achieve its goals.”
For his part, Atletico backed his attack after Diego Costa left this month. Dembele, 24, has scored 45 goals in all competitions for Lyon.
“This loan was made in exchange for 1.5 million euros (1.82 million dollars), with a clause to buy for 33.5 million euros, and maybe five million euros in the form of incentives with 10 percent of the value of the player’s potential future transfers,” Leon said in a statement.
