FBI: More than 160 cases opened in connection with the Capitol unrest

The assistant director in charge of the field office said to “FBIStephen Dantuno, in a press conference: “We opened more than 160 cases within 6 days, and this is nothing but a summit of the mountain.”

Dantuno added that the FBI had received 100,000 videos and photos as clues of evidence.

For his part, Acting Attorney for the Columbia Department, which hosts Washington, DC, Michael Sherwin, said that the number of cases related to Capitol unrest, which will be opened soon, may increase by hundreds, indicating that the prosecution has formally charged 70 cases.
