The four iPhone 12 phones share the same processor, which is the new Apple A14 processor, and differ in the size of the random memory, as the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 come with a random memory size of 4 GB, while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max carry random memory size 6 GB.

To begin with, we must mention that the Apple A14 processor present in the iPhone 12 phones comes with the new 5-nanometer processing technology, but at the level of performance there is no significant difference between it and the earlier version A13.

So in the announcement conference, Apple deliberately compared the Apple A14 processor with the A12 processor released two years ago, and said that the iron processor is about 40% better in performance and 30% at the level of graphics processing.

IPhone 12 performance test results for A14 processor

IPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 phones, on the Geekbench performance test platform, scored 1588 points in the single-core test and 3677 points in the multi-core test.

As for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max phones, it scored 1590 points in the single core test and 3881 in the multiple cores test.

The results are closely related and may increase or decrease slightly according to each phone. Some believe that Apple may have imposed a restriction on the performance of the A14 processor to save power in light of the support of the fifth generation networks that consume the battery a lot.

When comparing the performance test results of the Apple A14 processor with the A13 processor, we find that the performance increased by less than 20% in the single core test and about 8% in the multi-core test.
