Date Cookie Ingredients:

  • A cup of chopped dates
  • A quarter cup of chopped pecans
  • Half a cup of water
  • Half a ripe banana, mashed
  • A large egg, lightly beaten
  • Two tablespoons of melted butter
  • Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A multi-purpose cup of flour
  • A small spoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Half a teaspoon of salt

Cookie preparation steps:

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 ° F (175 ° C). Put parchment paper on a baking tray.

Step 2

Mix the dates, walnuts, water, banana, eggs, butter and vanilla extract in a bowl.

Step 3

Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a separate bowl. Then add it to the date mixture and stir it until it becomes homogeneous and becomes a single mixture.

Step 4

Form the cookies from the dough with a tablespoon of each piece, about an inch apart on the prepared baking tray, and shape them gently with the palm of your hand.

Bake in a preheated oven until it begins to turn brown around the edges, being careful not to over-bake, for 11 to 13 minutes, then take it out to cool slightly and then place it in a serving bowl.
