The New York Jets selected Teshaun Hightower with the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft. He is a running back out of Alabama that will be playing for a new coach and offensive coordinator. His rookie season will determine if he is the answer for this team.

During his college career, Hightower rushed for over 5200 yards and 35 touchdowns. During his high school career, he was also part of a powerful rushing attack and helped his team to a national championship.

Most importantly, he ran the ball very well during his three years at Alabama and was a major factor in their two Super Bowl appearances. If Hightower can continue to be productive, he can become a serious threat for New York’s top job. The Jets have not had a sure thing at running back since Fred Taylor left town, so this should be an exciting time.

Overall, I am very excited about the addition of Teshaun Hightower. I think he can make the most of the opportunities he will have and become a major contributor for this team. When he was at Alabama, he showed tremendous talent as a runner and showed the ability to deliver big plays at the end of the game.

He knows what is expected of him and it shows in his attitude. He knows that he has to do a lot more than just rush the passer. He needs to get into the passing lanes and make the tough catches.

In order to do that, he needs to be a better receiver out of the backfield. When he is able to run with the ball in his hands, he is one of the best in the league.

He needs to learn how to block and have a better offensive line to protect him. The top of the line did not perform as well last year as they did in the past. This is one of the reasons why New York’s offense struggled in the final third of the season.

With the talent that is on the team, I expect that Teshaun Hightower will be a major contributor in his rookie season. With a couple of key additions, this team will be an improved force in 2020.
